TESTING THE SYSTEM

The fighters of RAF school, when joining the Russian Army, always serve in the Special Forces.

In the Russian Army athletes with RAF background served in spetsnaz GRU (special troops of the Chief Reconnaissance Authority), spetsnaz VDV (special air-borne troops), reconnaissance troops of the motorised infantry, counter-diversion troops of the Strategic Missile Forces, Guard Company of the Chief Army Headquarters.

In Russian Navy multiathlonists served in the Navy spetsnaz, reconnaissance troops and landing battalions of Marine Infantry.

Our athletes also served in counter-terrorist troops of FSB (Federal Security Service), police spetsnaz, and Ministry of Justice spetsnaz. Often the military specialisation of our alumni was determined by the skills acquired during RAF training.

During their service our fighters proved themselves as excellent sportsmen, having repeatedly taken prizes and won Army Hand-to-hand fighting competitions of different levels.

The significant part of our students and associates has taken part in local wars (mostly in the Caucasus). All have returned home alive.

Security and Bodyguards

Many our fighters work as the security and bodyguards. Security agencies more and more often hire our Instructors for training their staff. The quality of service of our fighters, their efficiency under critical circumstances gives RAF the deserved reputation of a reliable and effective combat system.

Street Fights

Those of our fighters who live in unsafe districts frequently have to stand up for their health and life in clashes with street crime. Even in fights with outnumbering and armed with cold steel adversaries they have not only survived and avoided serious injuries, but disarmed (taking away the sticks and knifes) the adversaries, thus turning the fight in their own advantage.

RAF Skills on the State Service

A significant part of RAF practitioners serves in the penitentiary system (as the jail guards). Some of them serve in spetsnaz (special troops) of the Ministry of Justice.

Officers of the Saratov police spetsnaz have also highly appreciated the usefulness of RAF training. There is a number of regular police officers that attend our training.

The Demand for RAF

Not all those involved in RAF train in our system for a long period of time. Some of the fighters have joined us being already well-grounded in other martial arts (boxing, Sambo, free and Greco-Roman wrestling, Army hand-to-hand fight etc). Nevertheless, these people find a lot of useful actions and methods of fighting in RAF.

Some of our sportsmen that had fulfilled the army service before training with us affirm that the skills that the RAF provides would have been useful during their service, but…at that time they had not known about us.

Even those sportsmen who had passed the rough school of the Russian Storm Fighting (they are the majority in RAF) admit that they could not count on acquiring so versatile skills having been training just in Storm Fight.

About Women

At the time we are actively developing the methods of teaching RAF to women. At the moment we have experience in training women on the Beginner and Sport Levels. We have positive examples when our female students have been teaching good manners to the drunk scoundrels.

The Combat Level is temporarily unavailable for studying by women. The work on solving this task is being done, but… it needs time.
