SAMBO

Sambo (acronym for "unarmed self-defense") wrestling has won the deserved respect among martial arts connoisseurs around the world. Obviously, Sambo ranks so high due to the fact that its technical base conforms to the modern demands, but that is not all.

Sambo was designed by Russian experts who have brought the changes to the technique that help the Europeoid body type wrestlers to reveal their abilities most fully.

Many actions and holds of the Russian folk wrestling had been included in Sambo technical base. In this way, the skills of the generations of Russian wrestlers have become the winners on the international scene and proved their effectiveness.

Besides sport wrestling, Sambo comprises a vast combat level, in which competitions are also held. Combat Sambo includes punches and kicks, tripping, throws, holds, strangling and pain holds.
