MAXIM SHATUNOV
The Founder of the Russian All-Round Fighting Federation,

Born in 1974. Has practiced martial arts for 20 years.
In 1984 Maxim Shatunov has begun training in Boxing and Soviet Army Hand-to-hand fighting under the guidance of his father Valentin Shatunov.
Valentin Shatunov is the regular officer of the Soviet Army, Master of Sports in Greco-Roman Wrestling, Master of Sports in Free Wrestling, repeated prize winner and gold winner of the Russian Championships in Free Wrestling, gold winner of the Army Championship in Free Wrestling. Besides Greco-Roman and Free Wrestling, Valentin Shatunov was keen in Sambo, Boxing and Army Hand-to-hand fighting. He had a great influence on sports and combat training of his elder son Maxim Shatunov.
In 1986 Maxim Shatunov has started self studying setokan style karate. In 1988 Maxim Shatunov continued karate training in a sport club. In 1989 Maxim became the chief student of the group and the assistant of the trainer (sempai).
Active sport sparring practice was combined with numerous street fights. The ideological and technical contradictions that had arisen have lead Maxim Shatunov to the decision of principal changing his fighting practice.
In 1989 Maxim has started self study of the Russian Storm Fighting according to the periodic. Simultaneously Maxim turned to the study of the combat level of Sambo.
In 1991 Maxim Shatunov had totally switched to the Russian Storm Fighting that he has been practicing up to 1998. In the overwhelming majority of cases this decision wholly proved itself in the real street fights.
In March 1994 Maxim Shatunov passed training at the International Seminar in Russian Storm Fighting in Moscow. Maxim has been qualified with the Diploma of the Expert Instructor in Storm Fighting with the right to train in any country of the world. According to the results of the practical examination (full-contact bare-knuckle fight with an instructor, without any protection equipment, without forbidden zones for the attack) Maxim Shatunov has been qualified with the First Sport Rating in Storm Fighting.
Maxim Shatunov has started his career as the Storm Fighting Instructor in Saratov in 1994. Up to now his instructing experience is 12 years.
In December 1994 Maxim Shatunov had taken part in Saratov Region Competitions in Russian Storm Fighting where he has become a bronze winner in the middle weight (bare-knuckle, no-protection-equipment competition).
In November 1995 Maxim became a bronze winner in the absolute weight of the regional Storm Fighting Championship "The Volga and Urals Cup" (bare-knuckle).
In May 1996 Maxim Shatunov has upgraded his skills on the International Seminar in Storm Fighting in Moscow.
In 1997 Maxim started training in sport and combat fencing under the instruction of Denis Rojkov.
In 1998 Maxim Shatunov became an ideologist, active designer and promoter of the Russian All-Round Fighting.
His first book "Russian Professional Fight" was published in 1998. This year two more books were issued: "Russian Zdrava" (gymnastic work out system for fighters) and "Russian Combat Gymnastics".
In 1999 Maxim published two more books: "Russian Fisticuffs" and "Russian Kick Fighting".
After the enormous success of his first five books, Maxim never published them alone. All next issues of the books were done in one volume.
In 2003 his latest book - "Great Russian Wrestling" - was introduced. It is dedicated to the true history of the Russian folk wrestling. It is a detailed, carefully illustrated study material on all main kinds of folk wrestling.
The estimated total number of issues of Maxim's books is 50 000 copies.

Maxim has studied in the Saratov Regional Medical College on the Therapeutical faculty from 1991 till 1994. He has gained the specialisation in Therapeutic Physical Training and Massage.
From 1994 till 1997 Maxim has studied in the Saratov State University on the Philosophy Department. Maxim is married, and has 2 sons.

EDUARD SERGEEV

Born in 1973. Has practiced martial arts for 20 years.
Eduard Sergeev has been actively training in Sambo and Judo from 1986 to 1991.
At the same time with sport wrestling, in 1991 Eduard has started studying Russian Storm Fighting.
In 1992 Eduard Sergeev has taken part in the International Seminar in Russian Storm Fighting that had been held in Moscow by Alexander Belov. Eduard has been qualified with the Diploma of the Expert Instructor in Storm Fighting.
In 1993 Eduard has upgraded his skills at the All-Russian Conference in Russian Storm Fighting, which was held by Ryazan Higher Command Army Institute of the Air-Borne Troops.
In the same 1993 Eduard Sergeev has been qualified with the Candidate Master of Sports rank in Sambo. During the years of sport wrestling Eduard has become the champion and prize winner at competitions of different level.
In 1993 Eduard has started training sportsmen in Storm Fighting in Saratov. His experience as an Instructor is now over 13 years.
In 1994 Eduard Sergeev took part in the Russian Championship in the Russian Storm Fighting held by the All-Russian Federation for the same sport (note that it was a bare-knuckle, no-protection-equipment competition). He has also taken part in the Instructors seminar within this event.
In November 1994 Eduard has become a bronze winner in the middle weight of the regional Storm Fighting Championship "The Volga and Urals Cup" (bare-knuckle).
In 1995 Eduard became a gold winner in the absolute weight of the same Championship.
From 1996 to 1997 Eduard Sergeev has been serving as the Army Hand-to-hand fighting Instructor in the No.888 Reconnaissance Landing Company of the No.810 Marine Infantry Brigade of the Black Sea Navy. He has finished his service in the rank of Junior Sergeant.
Since 1998 Eduard takes active part in designing and developing Russian All-Round Fighting. During the last years he has prepared many sportsmen that became prize winners in the competitions of different levels.

Eduard has graduated Saratov State Agricultural University with a specialisation of the Environmentalist. He is married, and has three sons. Eduard is a security professional.

DENIS ROJKOV

Leading Specialist in Sport and Combat Fencing |
Born in 1971. Has practiced martial arts for 26 years.
1980 - 1990. Active training in sport rapier fencing.
In 1990 Denis had switched to the sabre fencing that he practiced up to 1994. According to the results of the competitions Denis Rojkov has been qualified with the First Rating in sport fencing.
Since 1991 in the same time with fencing Denis has been training in sport small-caliber pistol shooting. Denis Rojkov has been qualified with the Second Rating in sport pistol shooting.
Since 1990 Denis is keen on historic fencing. He has become a prize winner of the 1st All-Russian Historic Fencing Tournament in 1992.
Denis has been qualified as the Coach in Historic Fencing by the All-Russian Historic Fencing Federation.
In 1994 Denis Rojkov has joined Saratov Division of the Verhnehopersky Cossack Okrug of the Don Cossack Army in the rank of a Cornet. Denis serves as the Sabre (cavalry sword) Fight Instructor.
Up to 1996 Denis Rojkov practiced as the Instructor for Historic Fencing in several clubs in Saratov. He specialised in teaching the following disciplines:
- Double - handed sword fencing
- Fencing with two short swords one being held in each hand
- Rapier-and-dagger fencing one being held in each hand
- Rapier fencing
- Cavalry sabre fencing.
Since 1996 Denis Rojkov continuously trains in combat hand-to-hand fighting with cold steel, studying Russian and various European fighting traditions. He has developed the unique methods of express-study for the beginner sportsmen, allowing for adequate teaching the base cold steel fighting actions in a short period of time.
Having systematised the technique and teaching methods, Denis Rojkov has written several study books that are being prepared for publishing.
In 1998 Denis has started designing the base for sport fencing and combat hand-to-hand fighting with cold steel within Russian All-Round Fighting.
He has prepared many prize winners in competitions of different levels.
